sculpture

I originally studied sculpture at Bath Academy of Art, and sculpture remains an important activity for me. I continue to make, exhibit and sell art. My work is quite diverse but the threads that run through it are stone, text, carved lettering, and landscape. I like work that has a physical and felt quality to it and I look for conceptual clarity too. I like an economy of means and a certain quirkyness. Drawing, composition and ideas are all important. The work is underpinned by my Christian faith, and is an attempt to express what that might mean in the modern world.
